ETICS are multi-layer systems applied in external walls of buildings in order to improve their
thermal performance and energy efficiency. It is widely used in Europe and beyond for new
buildings or renovations.
They are composed of an adhesive layer, insulation layer (e.g. polyurethane) with anchors, base
coat with embedded glass fiber and final coat.
ETICS available in the European market are controlled by the construction products regulation
305/2011 (CPR).
EUROCERT, as Notified Body (NB 1128), with high experience in construction products
certification, can offer certification services either in reaction to fire (system 1)or FPC (σύστημα
AVCP 2+).
Due to lack of harmonized standard, certification is done through European Technical
Assessment (ΕΤΑ) under EAD 040083-00-0404
